Glandular epithelium is seen largely floating in extracellular mucin. If there is <25% mucin, it is classified as "mucinous features". Cytologically the epithelial cells are relatively bland. Image
The average age is similar to conventional prostatic adenocarcinoma. Clinical stage may be higher, however, with locally advanced or metastatic disease.
