Case 1, image 1: This 78-year-old male died of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease with environmental cold exposure (hypothermia) and Alzheimer’s dementia significantly contributing to death. Microscopic evaluation revealed extensive amyloid deposition in various organs including the adrenals, spleen and pancreas.
