BACKGROUND

It is frequently seen in patients with type II diabetes and thus, is also termed diabetic mastophay. Presents as a painless firm and rubbery mass. Composed of fibrous stroma and scattered well-circumscribed lobules surrounding by a dense lymphocytic infiltrate (Humphrey). It is important to recognize this entity on a needle core biopsy as it is a benign lesion and further treatment is not required.
